My role
Customer Insights & Ideation
I targeted relevant social media groups to uncover insights and translate concepts into features that address customer behaviours and motivations.

Experience Strategy & Vision
I created frameworks and prototypes to share the vision, design principles and content strategy. This helped to evangelise ideas, gain alignment and drive decision making.

Planning & Scope Definition
I defined the product with the core startup team- two founders and CTO. I evangelised customer goals and balanced business goals. I prioritised and negotiated features for launch and beyond.

Design Execution & Validation
I designed the iOS mobile app. I executed journeys, wireframes, prototypes and design specs.
Results
  • Validate HydroG B2C offer
  • Decreased design to dev handoff time
  • Exceeded expectations in seed round
Overview
The Future of Jobs.

The world around us is changing so fast it will change 14 times by the end of this article - developments in genetics, artificial intelligence, robotics, nanotechnology, 3D printing and biotechnology - lay the foundation for a comprehensive and significant revolution we have ever seen.

While the impending change brings with it a great promise of growth and renewal in consumption patterns, production and employment it poses many challenges. Changes of business models impact on the future of work - jobs of tomorrow have not yet been invented, other jobs are about to evaporate, current knowledge and skills may be irrelevant to the world of work of tomorrow.

The world economic forum reports that 65% of children entering primary school today will ultimately end up working in completely new job types that don't yet exist and 50% of all employees will need reskilling by 2025, as adoption of technology increases.

The implication in terms of education and training is that beyond the development of skills and abilities required in the market. The question, then, is how businesses, governments and individuals will respond to these developments to prevent the worst-case scenario - technological change accompanied by talent shortages, mass unemployment and growing inequality - reskilling and upskilling of tomorrow's workers becomes critical.

Framing the challenge
An academic degree in no longer a guarantee for leading a career.

The professional world is transforming at a rapid pace. Supply and demand for jobs across industries is in constant flux. Young professionals struggle to identify their employment core and manage their careers over time. They lack knowledge of employment opportunities, skills, relevant employment experience, and a professional network.
